Please meet at 9:30am in front (of the statue side) of the Brooklyn War Memorial.
Celebrate Juneteenth

The Brooklyn Ballet will perform in Juneteenth Grove at 6pm. This is free event and all are welcome!
Special thanks to Councilmember Lincoln Restler for support of our Juneteenth programming.
Saturday, June 8th at 10am
Inside Out Tours will be leading a Juneteenth walking tour in Brooklyn Heights, Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO and Fulton Ferry Landing.
The tour will begin in Juneteenth Grove.
Rain or shine. Sign up for this 3-hour walking tour will begin next week.

MulchFest!
On Sunday, the Cadman Park Conservancy celebrated Earth Day by hosting a Mulchfest event. Volunteers mulched all of the flower beds in Juneteenth Grove, and the 19 flowering trees (Cercis canadesis - Eastern rosebud) planted honoring the 19th, and all of tree beds surrounding the athletic field.
Special thanks to Packer Collegiate High School Junior, Nate Price for his help, leadership and to the incredible Packer High School team! to Juan Marin from St Francis College who probably distributed one pile of mulch by himself! And to all of St Francis volunteers; and The Service Collective volunteers making our Mulchfest an amazing success.
Mulch fest!
Join the Cadman Park Conservancy and The Service Collective volunteers to celebrate Earth Day. Our Mulchfest event is always fun, spreading mulch in our flowerbeds to ensure best protection and growth during the spring and summer months. We need your help! Gloves and supplies provided. This is a family friendly event!
Solar Eclipse
We hope you enjoyed some of the beautiful weather and perhaps watched the solar eclipse in Cadman Plaza Park this week! Mary Frost, journalist for the Brooklyn Eagle captured eclipse joy in the borough including Cadman Plaza Park.
