Walking Tour

Saturday, June 8th at 10am

The Cadman Park Conservancy is partnering with Inside Out Tours:

Join us for a three-hour Juneteenth walking tour highlighting Black History and the Underground Railroad in Brooklyn. Our journey begins at the Juneteenth Grove in Cadman Plaza.

Walk with us to Downtown Brooklyn to learn about the abolitionists who fought against slavery in NYC!

Stand where history was made at Plymouth Church, known as the 'Grand Central Station' of the Underground Railroad, where enslaved people found refuge from bounty hunters in 19th-century New York, and a mock slave auction ignited abolitionist fervor.

Walk with us to DUMBO and the Brooklyn waterfront to discuss Brooklyn's early free Black community, which fought against discrimination and slavery and became pioneers in Black entrepreneurship and education!

Join us on Saturday June 8th at 10am in Juneteenth Grove.

There are a limited number of tickets. The ticket price is reduced by the generous support of Councilmember Lincoln Restler.
